Why are Barons beers so good? Because we are obsessed!

Each beer style is chosen based on beers that we want to drink, and beer styles that are not currently available. Whether it be a new take on a forgotten beer style or a Barons innovation, the resulting beer must stand out as a winner in our rigorous blind tasting regime judged by our panel of expert and laymen tasters before it gets to you.

We source the best ingredients from around the world...wherever that may be. Australia is blessed with some of the finest barley and wheat grown and Aussie Maltsters have a huge export demand with most of our malt heading overseas. Our mission as brewers is to use this gift in the best way possible and marry it with the diverse range of flavours available. Whether it be specialty malts from Bamberg, Germany; noble hops from Kent, England or Saaz from the Czech Republic, new triploid varieties from our New Zealand cousins; or indigenous ingredients from the heart of Australia. With an eye on traditional recipes and brewing practices we strive to bring the demanding drinker something fresh and exciting with each beer release.

Our brewing process makes the most out of our fine ingredients. Batch brewing allows us to focus on quality over quantity. Each batch released has been laboured over by professional brewers that love great beer. The state of the art equipment and independent laboratory testing ensures that beer produced using traditional methods is of a consistent excellent quality. We can also be sure of this because, yes, we taste it at every stage in the brewing process.
